How to Measure For Your New Powerlifting Belt

How to Measure for a Powerlifting Belt

What Size Do I Order?

Before you order your belt, we suggest you do one thing. You will need a tape measure and take one measurement. Measure around your naval - belly button. This will be your belt size.  We will use this measurement to custom fit your belt. When you place the tape around your body concertrate on putting the tape in the area that your belt will be worn. Remember that if you order a 4 Inch belt the belt will take a 4 inch path around your body. Pull the tape until it just starts to dig into your skin. The tape should not dig into your body but should be firm. Remember that your belt will be 4 Inches wide, 3 Inches wide and 2.5 inches wide. You will not be able to pull a heavy leather belt this wide very far into your body. You do want the tape firm so it stays in place on your body. This should be your belt size.

Our belts have nine adjustment holes in them.  We use the measurement you submit to make the center hole in your belt.

For example: If your measurement is a size 34, your belt will look like this - a 34-inch center hole with holes at 35, 36, 37, 38 inches and the decending holes of 33, 32, 31, 30.  So your belt would have a range of adjustment of 30 to 38 inches with a center hole of 34 inches. This is the best way to get a perfect fit.

Note: Measurements will, in most cases, be higher than your waist measurement.
